Postcards

There are few more evocative images of the Edwardian world than advertising postcards. Looking at black and white photographs of the period, it is easy to forget that the Edwardians lived in the colourful world of early mass advertising. Stylish posters on billboards and on the backs of trams exhorted them to buy everything from bicycles to cocoa.
